What a week ahead for Craft Beer and Real Ale drinkers in London. Firstly, on the Real Ale front, there are two real ale festivals running simultaneously at Nicholson’s and Wetherspoons pubs across the country. The latter includes contributions from 40 UK and 10 US breweries, who have come to the UK to create special edition beers specifically for the festival. I am particularly excited about 21st Amendment, Ninkasi and Stone’s contributions, having tried ales from all three on a recent trip to California. The festival begins today and runs until the 31st October. Click here for the full list of beers.

Tonight sees the launch of the Brixton Brewery at The Craft Beer Co Brixton. Three cask beers and three bottles will be available to try from this new brewery in SW9. And if that’s not enough, The Craft Beer Co has one of the best selections of Craft Beer in London so there will be plenty to try if the Brixton beers run out.

Tonight at The Rake, the mighty Thornbridge Brewery take over the taps. List to be confirmed but needless to say every single one of them  will be noteworthy.

Continuing on from the collaboration theme, the BrewdogBars Collabfest this weekend, will showcase 12 collaborations with 11 breweries from around the country. Each of the Brewdog bars have collaborated with a local brewery to create a new beer. Breweries include Weird Beard, Beavertown and Arbor. All 12 beers will be available at all 12 bars this weekend. Collabfest takes place on the 19th and 20th October, not to be missed! More information available here.
